By BBN Staff: Last night around 7, Betty Torres, 42, a Belizean conductress of Unitedville Village, Cayo District reported that around 6:15, she was conducting on a bus owned by Belize Bus Owners Cooperative when upon reaching Camalote Village, two men got on the bus.
One of the men, pulled out a 9mm handgun and pointed it at driver and demanded that they hand over the purse with money.
Torres handed over the purse which had a little over two hundred dollars.
The culprit then fired a single shot inside the bus which hit just above the driver’s seat.
The robbers then both jumped off the bus and made good their escape.
Police investigations continue.
