Voter registration cut off date announced

By BBN Staff: The Elections and Boundaries Department issued a notice to the public that all registration offices countrywide will be opened on Saturday, 6th January 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

This is to facilitate persons 18 years of age and over who have not yet registered and wish to vote in the upcoming Municipal Elections.

Residents are informed that January 10th, 2018 is the cutoff date for the registration of persons who have not yet registered and wish to vote in the 2018 Municipal Elections.  Those persons are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

Applicants must bring along the original of either:

–         Belizean Birth Certificate, or

–         Belizean Passport, or

–         Belize Nationality Certificate

A Belizean birth certificate must be accompanied by a valid picture identification card.

A Belize nationality certificate without the affixed or scanned photograph of the applicant must be accompanied by a valid picture identification card.
