Two men charged for cocaine bust

By BBN Staff: Yesterday, police formally arrested and charged Peter Schmidt, 37, a fisherman of Caye Caulker and Carlos Lopez, 33, of Lords Bank village with ‘possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply’ and ‘possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition’.

Schmidt and Lopez were busted in the Buttonwood Bay area of Belize city by police earlier this week and were found with five kilos of cocaine, an unlicensed .9 mm pistol and 11 rounds of ammunition.
