Operation ACT took drugs, guns, and ammo off the streets, says Broaster

By BBN Staff: Since the onset of Operation Addressing Crime Together (ACT), there have been several successes in the Belize Police Department.

Today, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Edward Broaster, provided statistics for the south side concentrated operation.

He revealed that cops have confiscated over four thousand grams of cannabis, over five thousands grams of cocaine, and 16 firearms which have led to three arrests.

Additionally, officers have removed 226 rounds of ammunition from the streets of Belize City.

 

According to Broaster, cops have conducted over 20,000 citizen security checks as a result of the operation.
