By BBN Staff: A man is in trouble with the law after he was busted driving drunk and attempted to bribe law enforcers.
Police reported that around 4:45 p.m. on Friday, cops were conducting patrol on the George Price highway near Unitedville village when they observed a grey Ford pickup truck swerving across the highway.
Officers stopped the vehicle and requested Albert Morey Jr.’s registration certificate.
While speaking with police, cops noticed the strong stench of alcohol and and said the driver’s speech was incoherent.
The officer informed Morey Jr., 24, that he was suspected of driving drunk.
While Morey Jr. was being placed under arrest he allegedly tried to bribe the officer by offering him $200.
Following the attempt, Morey Jr. was also arrested for attempting to bribe a cop.
He resisted the arrest but was later subdued.
A urine sample has been obtained from Morey Jr. for analysis.
Morey Jr. was charged with the offense of ‘driving motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit’, ‘bribery’ and ‘resisting arrest’.
