By BBN Staff: BBN had previously reported that on the morning of December 23rd, an American woman was found dead inside a vehicle on the Placencia Peninsula main road.
The woman was later identified as Kimberly Lin Stephens, 55, from Washington.
Police today revealed that Stephens was strangled to death with the wire of a cell phone charger.
The charger was found inside the Mitsubishi SUV, which she had rented on December 16.
Police are investigating.
