Police confirm details of Independence High School Teacher’s murder

Posted: Thursday, December 28, 2017. 7:38 p.m. CST.

By BBN Staff: This morning around 2:40, police responded to the report of a possible homicide at a house located on Antelope Street Extension, Belize City.

At the scene police found the motionless body of a dark complexion male person.

The body was found in a kneeling position between two beds.

A large cut to the throat and a stab wound to the upper chest was visible on the body.

The person was later identified as 35 year old Desmond Lewis who lives in Dangriga and is a teacher at Independence High School.

Police investigation revealed that Lewis was staying at his friend’s home on Antelope Street when the incident allegedly occurred.

The body now lies at the K.H.M.H morgue where it awaits a postmortem examination.

 

Police investigation continues.
