Two women survive Christmas eve accident

By BBN Staff: On Sunday, December 24, around 4:40 p.m., police responded to a traffic accident between miles 60 and 61 on the Philip Goldson highway.

At the scene, cops saw a silver Toyota Tacoma in the bush off the right side of the highway extensively damaged.

 Investigations revealed that Sherry Jones, 69, a US citizen, accompanied by Mary Turner , 61, was driving from Orange Walk towards Corozal when she lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle flipped several times.

Jones and Turner suffered injuries and are being treated at the Northern Regional Hospital.
