Gun and ammo found in Caye Caulker

By BBN Staff: Around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, December 29, while police were conducting mobile patrol within the airstrip area of Caye Caulker village, cops searched  an open lot.

Police found a black plastic bag containing a chrome and black .9mm Taurus pistol without a magazine and one live .9mm hollow point round .

No one was in the area at the time of the search.

 The firearm was taken to the Caye Caulker Police Station where it was labeled and deposited as found property.
