Reputed George Street Boss gets bail

BBN Staff: On Friday, the reputed George Street Gang Boss, Brandon (B-E-T) Tillet was released on bail for $10,000.

On January 3, he was arraigned for aggravated assault against his former common-law wife.

Court documents reveal that the original charges were withdrawn against Tillett before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. And so instead Tillett pleaded not guilty to a substituted charge of abetment to commit aggravated assault.

Court prosecutor Jacqueline Willoughby made no objection to bail being granted and so he was freed to go.

The Supreme Court ordered him to report to the police station once a week beginning on January 19.

He was also ordered to not interfere with the complainant nor her relatives.

The matter was adjourned until February 2.
