Man beats mother to death with crowbar, leaves another woman hospitalized

By BBN Staff; Police have confirmed the details of this morning’s shocking murder in the Spanish Town area of Carmelita village in Orange Walk.

According to police, Braulia Pech, 53, was under a tree in her yard when her son Andy Rhaburn, 26, approached and attacked her with a crowbar.

Rhaburn reportedly beat his mother to the head with the crowbar before leaving the scene. Down the street from his home, about 300 yards away, he also attacked 43-year-old Lilia Xujur, striking her to the head with the crowbar as well.

Rhaburn then left the area and when police arrived on the scene, cops found Pech with a large cut wound to the head and she was bleeding profusely. Police transported Pech to the Northern Regional Hospital but she died while undergoing treatment.

Xujur is in a stable condition. Rhaburn is wanted by police. Investigations continue.
