GSU find over 51 pounds of weed in 8 Miles Community

BBN Staff: Yesterday around 5:00 P.M., officers from the Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) conducted an operation in Western Pines, 8 Miles Community within the Pine Ridge ,and as a result, they discovered 94 black plastic bags containing cannabis hidden within  a PVC pipe about 10 feet in length and 1 foot wide buried in the ground.

Further searches within the same area resulted in a discovery of 39 more parcels wrapped and secured in duct tape inside a PVC pipe.

The 94 parcels  were weighed and amounted to 23.3 pounds or 10.6 kilograms and the 39 parcels amounted to 28.6 pounds or 13 kilograms.

Both seizures amounted to a total of 51.9 pounds or 23.6 kilograms.

The items were labeled and deposited as found property since no one was found in the area.
