Woman, 26, shot in Belize City

BBN Staff: Belize City police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured last night.

According to reports, yesterday around 6:42 in the evening police visited the KHMH where they saw Ajesha Felisha Humes, 26, of a Belize City address suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper right arm.

Initial investigation revealed that about 6:30 p.m. whilse Humes was on Casuarina Street conversing with a male companion an unknown male person dressed in dark clothing approached them on a bicycle and fired several shots in their direction causing her injury.

Humes is currently in a stable condition at the KHMH while police are investigating the incident.
