William Godoy charged for murder

BBN Staff: Yesterday, William Godoy, 33, of San Pedro was arraigned for murder and remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

Godoy is accused of last week’s murder of Alfredo Cowo on the island.

According to reports, Godoy’s family claims he has a solid alibi .

San Pedro police, however, have linked him to the murder.

Assistant Superintendent, Alejandro Cowo told the media that no murder weapon has yet been recovered and no motive has been ascertained for the murder.

Cowo’s family believes that police may have something to do with his murder since he was proceeding with court matters against two police constables from the island.
