5 tourists attacked and robbed in San Ignacio Town

By BBN Staff: According to reports, five tourists were victims of an armed robbery last night in San Ignacio Town.

The tourists were walking from Guava Limb restaurant towards Venus Hotel when they were attacked by a man with a knife.

Reports to BBN is that four of the persons escaped but one was attacked and the culprit made away with her purse.

Inside the purse, was a cell phone, wallets, personal documents, several credit cards and an undisclosed amount of Belize and US cash.
