Attorney General donates law books to Belmopan Police

By BBN Staff: Today, Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte donated 15 volumes of the Laws of Belize to the Belmopan police formation.

The donation is valued at over $5,000.

Officer Commanding Belmopan Police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett said that the books will immediately improve the prosecution of cases and minimize the delays in the courts since officers will have a reference point.

“This will also improve on the conviction rate and increase the confidence of the public that we serve,” Gillett stated.
