IDB’s new regional manager meets with PM Barrow

BBN Staff: Veronica Zavala, the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IDB) new regional manager met with Prime Minister Dean Barrow on Monday to discuss Belize’s relationship with the bank and programs for 2018.

Zavala is the new regional manager for Central America, Mexico, Panama, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

According to a government release, Barrow and Zavala reaffirmed the strong partnership between IDB and Belize for the past 25 years.

The IDB has loaned Belize US $72 million along with US $17 million in assistance and grants.
