Billy White resident detained for stolen gun and ammo

By BBN Staff:Yesterday afternoon around 12:15, Jose Antonio Mendoza, 74, a Belizean farmer of Billy White Village reported that around 10:30 a.m., someone stole his licensed 16-gauge shotgun, along with a 16-gauge cartridge from his farm in Billy White Village, Cayo.

Police conducted searches in the area and found the stolen items in the possession of Jose Manuel Lara, 20, of Billy White village.

  Lara is detained pending charges.
