Walk for Justice to be held this Saturday

Posted: Friday, February 2, 2018. 10:11 am CST.

BBN Staff: The Mayan community has announced that they will be having a Walk for Justice tomorrow in San Jose Village, Toledo.

The community, which was shocked by the heinous murder of sisters, Josephine and Crecencia Oh, organized the event to condemn crime and appeal for justice, unity and peace in the Toledo district and Belize.

“This double murder has shocked the nation and has forced us to realize that we cannot be silent in the face of ever-increasing crime and insecurity,” the release states.

They are hoping that the Walk for Justice will unite Belizeans and send a clear message of unity.

The walk will begin in San Jose Village at 3:00 p.m. continued by a candlelight vigil at 4:00 p.m. at the San Antonio football field.
