By BBN Staff: The Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB) announced today that four of its offices will be closed to the public until further notice.
The SIB said that as of today, the offices in Corozal town, Orange Walk town, Belize city and Punta Gorda have been closed as the institute makes upgrades.
” This centralization of staff and resources to our headquarters in Belmopan is part of the SIB’s ongoing modernization efforts, allowing for more streamlined operations and increased organizational efficiency,” the SIB said.
Since early 2017, the SIB has embarked on a project to strengthen the national statistical system (NSS). The project included not only upgrades in equipment and processes at the institute but strengthening capacity and partnerships with other organizations who make up the NSS.
