Friday night murder on Southside Belize City

BBN Staff: Our newsroom has been reliably informed by sources within the Belize Police Department that a man was shot dead on the Southside of Belize City.

Information received is that at around 8pm he was near the Michael Finnegan Market when he was shot.

He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

His body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue where he was certified dead.

BBN knows the name of the victim but will withhold his identity until family members are informed.
