Belizean killed in Melchor

BBN Staff: Yesterday, the family of Samuel Sosa, a Belizean man from Benque Viejo del Carmen, went to Melchor to find out what happened to their relative.

Sosa was gunned down inside his business in Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala on Monday night.

Guatemalan media reported that a woman, Mayra Aldana, was an accomplice to the crime since witnesses identified her as a companion of the man who shot Sosa.

The main suspect is known as ‘El Gordo’.

Guatemalan authorities found Aldana with a cell phone hidden in her private parts and two damaged SIM cards in her mouth.
