Police Minister and Orange Walk town council partner for opening of sub-station

BBN Staff: Yesterday, Minister in charge of Police, Elodio Aragon Jr. and Commissioner Allen Whylie were present at the opening of the police sub-station on Cemetery street in Orange Walk town.

PUP Party Leader, John Briceno, was also present at the opening and told the gathering that he is prepared to meet with the Ministry so that as leaders and citizens, they can address the issue of crime.

Mayor Kevin Bernard says that the council met with the business community and partnered for renovations and refurbishment of the building. The business community and the town council also partnered to purchase two new motorbikes for the police officers stationed at the sub-station. Bernard thanked the community for partnering with the council.

Compol Whylie stated that the opening of the sub station will aid in the detection and prevention of crime.
