Bartender pays his bar tab with stolen credit card

By BBN Staff: Police in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye have arrested and charged Branndon Moralez, 21, for obtaining property by deception.

According to police reports, on Feb 9, 2018 about 2:30 PM, Alvaro Tun, 27, a Belizean security guard reported that on Feb 4, 2018 about 12:14 PM while assisting the bartender at Jaguar Night Club in San Pedro, Moralez ordered 4 drinks of  Hennessy valued at $15.00 each and 2 Guinness valued at $7.00 each and payed the bill of $74.00 using a credit card.

On Feb 9th 2018, Tun discovered that the credit card that was used by Moralez was the property of another person who did not authorize the use of the credit card.

Police have since arrested and charged Moralez for obtaining property by deception.
