Ombudsman gets green light; Contractor General gone

By BBN Staff: Breaking Belize News has been reliably informed that Lionel Arzu will be re-appointed to the Office of the Ombudsman for one more year.

We have also been reliably informed that Godwin Arzu will no longer serve as the Contractor General.

During his tenure, he had failed to provide annual reports and so did not meet his requirements.

We understand that the Government of Belize has initiated efforts to find a replacement for the post.
