Belize listed among best places to vacation with kids

BBN Staff: Just one month after Rough Guides, a respected UK-based travel guidebook and reference publisher, named Belize one of the best places for trekking in 2018, it has listed Belize as one of 30 best kid-friendly destinations.

Belize is mentioned on the list among tourism giants such as Kenya, Romania, Indonesia, Canada and the USA, placing at number 17 on the list. Belize was ranked just after North Island, New Zealand, and before Colorado, USA.

“Belize is one of the safest and easiest Central American countries to explore with children. Apart from its colorful marine life and beautiful beaches, its (malaria-free) rainforest interior provides tropical excitement,” Rough Guides said.

Given the years in succession that Belize has been listed as one of the most dangerous countries in the region, the mention goes a long way in showing the international community that Belize is more than just the incidents of crime reported in the news. The fact that the publication encourages travelers to bring their children further attests to Belize’s extraordinary tourism product.

Belize began 2018 with numerous positive international mentions, including a travel segment for ABC 15 in Arizona, USA.
