By BBN Staff: The Belize Fisheries Department is reminding the public that in accordance with Section 10 of Statutory Instrument No. 66 of 2002, under the Fisheries Act Chapter 210 of the Laws of Belize Revised Edition 2000-2003:
Any person found in possession of sea turtles will be prosecuted in accordance with section 14A (1) of the Fisheries Regulation, Chapter 210 of Subsidiary Laws of Belize Revised Edition 2000-2003
The Fisheries Department advises the public to report illegal fisheries activity by calling telephone number: 224-4552/203-2623 or by email fisheries_department@fisheries.gov.bz.
