Everal Martinez charged for rape

BBN Staff: This morning, Everal Martinez, the man accused of the horrendous rape of a 17-month-baby was charged for  2 counts of attempted rape and 2 counts of attempted assault in Belize City’s Magistrate Court.

Martinez had been previously charged for ‘dangerous harm’ but he was additionally charged today.

The 17-month-baby died on Sunday morning.

Heavy police presence was observed outside the Magistrate’s Court today  and the occurrence has sparked tremendous public outrage.

Many protests and vigils have been organized throughout the country seeking ‘justice’ for the 17-month-baby.
