Runaway tractor kills man

By BNN Staff: Police said that 49-year-old San Luis villager, Elijio Grahalez, was doing some mechanical work on the tractor along with his brother Orlando Castillo, just moments before the fatal accident occurred.

Castillo told police that he had left the area momentarily and when he returned he found his brother face up and bleeding from the mouth. Castillo told police it was possible that the tractor was in gear while Grahalez was under it.
 Police Crimes Investigation Branch Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino, said that police are investigating the matter but they’ve already determined several things in the case.
 “The tractor was found about 15 to 16 feet away from him. No one else was in the area so all indications are that it ran over him at this point,” Ferrufino said. 


He added that the tractor also ran into another vehicle and caused it to overturn.
