Classes cancelled to accommodate municipal elections

BBN Staff: The Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Elections and Boundaries Department is informing all managing authorities, school administrators, deans, teachers, parents, and students that all schools will be closed today, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 to accommodate the municipal elections.

Today, voters will go to the polls to elect 67 representatives – 18 on city councils and 49 on town councils.

BBN encourages all voters, young and old, to come out and exercise their democratic right to vote in today’s municipal elections.

The last municipal election was held on March 4, 2015.
