Saturday night armed robbery of popular Chinese store in Santa Elena

BBN Staff: A chinese store located in Santa Elena, Cayo, was held up last night by two (2) armed bandits.

The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. when the two (2) men entered the store and held up the security and store owner.

The men, both unmasked, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and escaped on bicycles.

The armed robbery was caught on camera and the footage is being reviewed by police.

The popular store, known as Anna’s is located on the Western Highway close to the Ministry of Works compound.

It is the same store where an armed robbery was foiled a couple years ago when the security shot and killed two (2) robbers.
