By BBN Staff: The long anticipated La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge ended at the final destination in Belize City yesterday.
The race began on Friday morning at the foot of the Hawkesworth Bridge in San Ignacio Town, and on day 2, it continued from Banana Bank Lodge to Double Head Cabbage.
On day 3 of the race, the paddlers went from Double Head Cabbage to Burrell Boom, and, on day 4, from Burrell Boom to Belize City.
Of the fifty three teams that registered, Koop Sheet Metal emerged victorious crossing the finish line first.
Congratulations to Koop Sheet Metal and all teams that participated in the race!
