The students were taught about the functions of both units.
They also had the opportunity to take pictures and were given a helicopter display by Captain Baizar of the BDF.
Officer Commanding, Belmopan police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett said children are surrounded by negative influences on a daily basis so the least we can do as leaders is to show them we do care.
“We also want them to see their future now and then we will be able to create future positive role models free from crime,” Gillett said.
Captain Francis Usher interacted with the cadets and some even shared their aspirations of becoming joining the BDF in the future.
The BDF and police share a close friendship and working relationship dating back to 1978.
