By BBN Staff: The Spanish Lookout Mennonite Community in Belize is celebrating their 60th anniversary.
Celebrations began in Spanish Lookout yesterday and will continue today.
Spanish Lookout was first established in 1958 when its founders relocated from the state of Chihuahua in northern Mexico.
Ten years before heading to Mexico, they had relocated from Manitoba, Canada.
BBN notes that they are giants in the agriculture sector and add significantly to the Belizean economy in a variety of ways such as poultry, dairy, suppliers of hardware, equipment and parts, and much more.
Our newsroom wishes the Spanish Lookout Community a Happy 60th Anniversary.
