BTIA Cayo invites you to meeting and mixer

BBN Staff: The Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) Cayo Chapter is inviting members to its meeting and mixer to be held this Thursday, March 22, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Come out and learn about the BTIA, the latest updates for destination Belize and how you can join us to make a positive difference in such a booming but volatile industry!

The meeting will feature discussions on the following items:

  • Cayo Culture Fest – 5,000 years and counting

    • Training opportunities and needs for BTIA members going into 2018

    • Letter to BWS (Belize Water Services) addressing water cleanliness in the twin towns

    • Planning & organization of a second Cayo clean up campaign in April

    • New proposed taxes by DOE (Department of Environment)

    • Update on destination marketing – VIDEO, MAP & BTB Statistics

    • Partnership with universities and other organizations

    • New partnership with San Ignacio Community Police Formation

    • Notion to propose to local government & non-government bodies to setup a working tourism committee

Special invited guests include Mayor Earl Trapp,  Richard Rosado , Officer Commanding San Ignacio police formation,  Raineldo Guerrero & John Burgos, (BTIA secretariat president & executive director respectively).

The mixer will feature special packages for new members, prizes-great vacation packages, free wine & snacks and live drumming entertainment
