GOB and UB hosting seminar on understanding masculinity and male violence

By BBN Staff: The University of Belize (UB) in collaboration with the government of Belize through its Ministry of Home Affairs and with support from the InfoSegura Project and UNDP Belize is hosting a 2-day seminar on Understanding Masculinities and Male Violence in Belize.

The seminar will take place on March 26-27 from 8:30 a.m. at the George Price Center in Belmopan.

This seminar seeks to understand the contemporary work taking place in Belize to tackle violence using a masculine perspective.

The event will bring together national and international experts to discuss experiences and lessons learned and will chart collaborative pathways forward to reduce male violence across Belize.

Specialists from policy, programming, government officials, national and international organizations and institutions, academics; all those working with or studying gender, youth, violence, and crime related issues in Belize are welcome to attend.
