By BBN Staff: Today, the Belize Police department (BPD) issued a statement informing that since the murder of Kendis Flowers on Saturday, March 17, the BPD has been made aware of a series of accusations and threats of death against a police officer, accused of being involved in the murder, and his family.

The statement says that it views these threats seriously and is assuring the general public that this officer was out of the country on vacation leave during the time of Flowers’ murder.“Kendis Flowers murder is under investigation and we expect to lay charges very soon,” the statement said.

Furthermore, the department reassures the public that from their investigation, there is no police involvement in Flowers’ murder.

The BPD calls on those persons concerned to cease and desist from making accusations and threats against any police officer.

Failure to do so will result in appropriate legal action.
