GOB signs contract with Apex Belize for Civic Center

BBN Staff: The government of Belize signed a contract with Apex Belize Ltd., a subsidiary of US-based Apex International LLC, yesterday for the management of the newly completed Civic Center in Belize city.

The contract will last for three years and entails maintaining the and upkeeping the facility, which is estimated will cost around $800,000 to a million a year.

Chad Eckert, owner of Apex International and Managing Director of the Civic Center, told the media that his company has years of experience in handling and managing large events ranging from parties to basketball games and concerts.

Reynaldo Malik, Operation Director for the Civic Center, said the key to maintaining the facility’s success will be utilizing it as frequently as possible through out the year to make it profitable.

Deputy Prime Minister, Patrick Faber, was also at the signing and expressed his confidence that Apex was fully capable of managing the country’s most expensive facility ever.
