Burglars take guns, ammo and cash at Sanctuary Bay in southern Belize

By BBN Staff: Alfonso Bailey, 28, manager of Sanctuary Bay Reserve in Stann Creek District reported to authorities that on Sunday, March 18, between the hours of 12:30 and 1:20 p.m., his office was broken into.

Bailey told police that at the time his office was used as a storage for armory.

Stolen from the office were 1, .223 semi-automatic rifle Sig Sauer brand along with a magazine containing 30 live rounds, a 12 gauge pump action shot gun brand Mossberg Maverick, 10, 12 gauge cartridges, 2 box of (5.56) rounds containing 50 live rounds, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

All to a total estimated value of $9,790.00 .

Police are investigating.
