Storm names released for 2018 Hurricane Season

BBN Staff:This week, the Colorado State University hurricane researchers released their projections for the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

According to the report, this season will be slightly above-average.

The research team believes that there will be 14 named storms.

They also predict that seven of the storms will become hurricanes and three will be major hurricanes.

The 2018 Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30.

The World Meteorological Organization has released the 21 names that made it on the list for 2018.

The names are used in a six year rotation. However, if a storm was catastrophic, the name is no longer used.
