Man shot by Corozal police after he attacks them with machete

BBN Staff: Yesterday afternoon, Corozal police responded to reports of a domestic dispute in San Andres Village.

There, police were told that no report of a domestic dispute was made, however, Alejandro Dominguez, 25, who was intoxicated attacked police officers with a machete.

According to reports, police then fired a warning shot in the air but Dominguez continued advancing towards them.

Police then fired a shot at Dominguez which caught him to the right knee.

He was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital where he was admitted in a stable condition.

Police investigations continue.
