Four Seasons coming soon to Belize

BBN Staff: Today, Yahoo news reported that the renowned Four Seasons line of hotels has officially unveiled plans for a Four Seasons Resort and Residences in Caye Chapel, Belize.

The luxury resort and residences is being developed by Mexico-based real estate groups Thor Urbana, Inmobilia Desarrollos, and GFA Grupo Inmobiliario.

The project will be the first Four Seasons resort and residential community in Belize.

Co-founder and Co -CEO of Thor Urbana, Jamie Fasia says that she was struck by the “awe-inspiring beauty of the water there,”  and the “rich cultural history of the Maya and the other in the beauty of Central America and the Caribbean Sea.”

The resort is set to include 100 guest rooms and suites, 50 private estate lots, and 35 private residences.

The private estate lots will feature private beach and golf course access.

According to the report, the plan includes for the residences to be constructed from sustainable harvested wood and stone from rock quarries on the main land of Belize.

The project includes an 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman in consultation with Lorena Ochoa, a marina, a private airstrip, and a Fabien Cousteau conservation center, where residents can sit in on education initiatives or partake in a 3-D coral reef printing program.

Fasia says that “the ecological diversity found in Belize is mind-blowing.”

The project is projected to be completed by 2021.
