By BBN Staff: The villagers of San Benito Poite in Toledo have began casting foundation for a new bridge to allow access in and out of the village.
The frustrated villagers have become desperate after not being able to enter or exit the village in the rainy weather when the canal is flooded.
Area representative, Oscar Requena says that his countless efforts to lobby for the bridge have all been futile.
Requena, community leaders, villagers and a missionary group are now donating money and labor for the construction of the much needed bridge.
“I congratulate and thank everyone who has supported so far. Together we improve the lives of our people,” Requena stated.
