By BBN Staff: Last night around 8:20, Belize City police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and saw Marcia Melisa Downs,37, of Handy street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the left side of her forehead.
Police investigation revealed that sometime after 8 p.m., Downs was at her home when she saw a man walking towards her house and upon arriving at her gate, she went to meet the man.
The man then took out a firearm and fired two shots towards her causing her injury.
Downs later succumbed to her injury while undergoing treatment.
Police Investigation continues.
