By BBN Staff: Yesterday morning around 1:20 , Belize City police responded to a vehicle fire report on Samuel Haynes Street in Belama Phase 1.
There, police saw a 4 door, 2000 Express Chevrolet van valued at $16,000.00 totally destroyed by fire.
Police also saw a red 2005 Dodge Caravan valued at $10,000.00 partially burnt.
Roberto Botes, 46, a tour guide of San Narcisso Village, Corozal District, reported that about 4 p.m., he parked the vans on Samuel Haynes Street and went home in San Narcisso Village.
He was informed about 12:38 am that his 2 vans were on fire.
Police investigation reveals that about 12:10 a.m., a white SUV vehicle stopped on Samuel Haynes Street and a man was seen throwing something on the vans and shortly thereafter fire erupted.
Police are investigating.
