By BBN Staff: Police in Dangriga are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon at a local store.

According to reports,  a woman reported to authorities that about 4.45pm, she was inside her shop in the new site area of Dangriga Town with her 2 daughters when she saw a man approaching her house.

The man ordered a shilling water from her shop’s window so one of her daughters went to get it from the freezer.

While she was at the window, she saw the man taking out a  handgun which he then pointed at her.

The man told her not to move as he entered the shop holding the gun.

The culprit then snatched a 14 karat gold chain off her neck valued at $7,000 and escaped on a bicycle along with another man who was waiting for him outside of the yard.

 Police investigation continues.
