Corozal police seek one person for murder

By BBN Staff: After midnight yesterday, Corozal police responded to a report of a shooting incident at Pasadina Bar in Ranchito village, Corozal district.

There, police found the body of Emmanuel Evan Sosa, 38, of Ranchito Village lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder.

Police investigations revealed that at 12:00 a.m., the owner of the bar was closing and while she was at the door, Sosa was about to exit when a masked man armed with a sawed-off shotgun stood at the door aiming at the owner.

Sosa then intervened and an argument ensued between him and the culprit.

The culprit then shot Sosa to the right shoulder before running off.

Police are looking for one person in connection with the investigation.
