By BBN Staff: This morning, Saint Andrew’s Anglican School in San Ignacio Town, Cayo held its ‘Principal for a Day’ election.
Four candidates vied for the position: Jamin Perez, Haley Hales, Amir Staine and Austin Danilzyck.
All four candidates had their tents outside of the Polling station along with their campaigners and party t-shirts.
School Principal Sharee Guitterez and teachers monitored the election process.
Guitterez told BBN that the events leading up to the election featured a nomination day, team campaign, and education awareness on the election process.
After the last ballot was counted, Jamin Perez emerged victorious.
Observing the election process today were officers from the Elections and Boundaries Department.
