Student raped by security guard at her school

By BBN Staff: Police in Belize City are investigating the rape of a young girl that happened on April 9th, 2018.

According to authorities, yesterday around 8am, the student along with her father reported that on April 9th at 3:30 PM while at her high school in Belize City, a 27-year-old security guard from her school called her to the third floor of the school building where he raped her inside a classroom.

On April 18th, a medical examination was conducted on the teenager which certified that she was raped and classified the injuries as grievous harm.

Police are investigating.
