Body of man found in sea

By BBN Staff: This afternoon, the body of a man was found near Alligator Caye.

The body is believed to be that of missing Paraiso Villager, Lionel Velasquez.

Velasquez went missing on Wednesday evening when he and other workers of Turneffe Island Resort were going to work on the company’s boat.

According to reports, Velasquez fell off the boat.

A statement from Turneffe Island Resort said that since Velasquez fell off the boat , the Belize Coast Guard and the family were immediately notified.

Turneffe Island resort and the Coast Guard dispatched search teams to search for Velasquez.

Velasquez’ wife is on her way to Belize City to identify if the body is that of her missing husband.
